VHR’s Christmas Party was a great success, celebrating a year of hard work and growth for the company.

A VHR Christmas

The party started with the annual Christmas jumper day, with dozens of our London staff wearing Christmas Jumpers to raise money for Save The Children on Christmas Jumper Day. Some jumpers were Christmassy to the extreme, others more subtle and some plain ironic. In total VHR raised £89.78 for children in developing countries.

Our 80 employees from all over the world – our five global offices span London, Manchester, Prague, Valencia and Abu Dhabi – were present to enjoy VHR’s Christmas event. Everyone attended the London office for an end of year presentation, highlighting VHR’s international achievements, multiple award wins and recruitment milestones.

In the afternoon the entire company went bowling, with teams being made up of members from all departments. As expected the level of talent varied wildly from person to person, with Marketing Assistant Jennifer Robinson managing to bowl a staggering 4 gutter balls in a row, and Onsite Co-Ordinator Bogdan Tilicea claiming the title of Bowling Champion.

A Great Place to Work

After bowling, VHR employees enjoyed a masquerade ball at The Royal Aeronautical Society, where the entire company enjoyed extravagant outfits, fantastic food and questionable dancing.

Awards were given out to the highest performers of the year: top billers, hardworking support heroes and people who made a significant difference to our business and our team.

The Christmas party is something almost every work place does, but something that we want to do really well. Our Employee Engagement Programme thrives on the input and insight of our team: the masquerade ball was actually an idea one of our employees, and everyone threw themselves into it and really made the night special.

Events like the annual Christmas party are just one of the ways we show our appreciation to our teams and reward hard work and dedication.
