Global Business Excellence Awards Programme
The Awards programme, aim to recognise and reward business excellence across all sectors, private, public and charity. Open to organisations of any size and individuals, based anywhere in the world, entries are encouraged from those that feel they are working smarter than their competitors to create a business edge.
International Trade
This award category looked at how the entered companies penetrate international markets, which is a huge challenge for many businesses, especially when considering the difficulties facing many companies during the pandemic and post-Brexit. GBE wanted to hear of company’s success stories and the impact they had within the business sector.
Commenting on VHR, the winner in the International Trade category, the chairman of the judges said: “Congratulations to UK-based international technical recruitment specialists VHR for responding to the uncertainty around Brexit by targeting new overseas markets outside Europe, enabling it to report that 72% of business is international. The company’s strategy to take on staff with second languages with a number coming from outside the UK was a wise move that has boosted overseas contract placements and helped when setting up onsite offices. VHR has generated significant foreign revenue and helped to position the UK as an expert in technical recruitment.”
Employer of the Year
This award category looked at how companies invest in staff, have a strong equality, diversity, and inclusion policy, and have improved staff benefits and what opportunities they have to give feedback. They asked to demonstrate the ways in which your company is the best place to work in relation to your size and sector.
Commenting on VHR, the winner in the Employer of the Year category, the chairman of the judges said: “By supporting staff to develop their careers and through the provision of a marvellous line-up of benefits, Global technical recruitment consultancy VHR has established itself as a great place to work.
