VHR Win A Global Recruiter Award
VHR are thrilled to announce that we have won a Global Recruiter Award for Best In-House Training. We also were highly commended for Best Medium Recruitment Business.
The Global Recruiter Awards is open to all businesses operating in the UK, regardless of office location or wider breadth of capability. The Global Recruiter Awards recognises the best of the best in the recruitment industry. The sixteen awards categories highlight business and individual excellence across all business sizes, leadership, sustainable and responsible business, economic growth, corporate leadership, and individual leadership. The awards help promote talent, entrepreneurship and drive across the UK to a national and global audience.
Best In-House Training
VHR picked up the title for Best In-House training at the awards ceremony held at the Winter Gardens in Canary Wharf. This category recognises in-house training services delivered by UK recruitment businesses. This training can be delivered both by internal experts and external resources.
VHR operates transparent career progression across functions and levels, encouraging staff to achieve their full potential. VHR’s internal managers create bespoke training programmes for our employees across departments and levels of experience.
VHR creates talent where it does not exist through our unique Academy training programme.
In January 2018, VHR launched the first Academy: a training programme for individuals with no recruitment experience, tailored to help each employee build a successful recruitment career.
Each Academy trains individuals in the recruitment process, relationship building, legislation, building a personal brand, and high standards of candidate care. Academy trainees receive group and 1-2-1 training, coaching, and mentoring from our two in-house Learning & Development Coaches and support from VHR’s Leadership team and former Apprentices.
Best Medium Recruitment Business
VHR claimed a highly commended title for Best Medium Sized Recruitment Business at the awards ceremony. This award recognises great customer service and candidate experience in a medium-sized recruitment business. Judges also look for an insight into the performance not only before the pandemic but how the businesses have adapted and worked in challenging circumstances due to COVID-19.
Our recent successes include:
- Working with businesses in over 56 countries.
- VHR’s CEO Danny Brooks receiving an MBE for International Trade.
- Raising over £25,500 for charity in two years.
- Finding over 1,500 new jobs for permanent and contract candidates every year.
Through the past seventeen months, VHR’s team has been navigating our way through the COVID-19 situation as it progresses around the world trying to support everyone the best we can.
VHR have provided regular guidance and communication to our clients and contractors on:
- Workplace Hygiene Best Practices
- Protecting your health whilst working
- Access to healthcare whilst abroad
- Payment and wage calculations
- Lockdown restrictions and what they mean for business and employees at every stage.
- The Engineer Locator Form (ELF) pairing up a variety of technical jobs with engineers stuck in over 56 countries.
VHR is passionate about the industries where we operate and the people with whom we work. We are delighted to have been awarded a Global Recruiter Award and recognised for our In-House training programmes our team work so hard to deliver.
