Job Description:

As a Business Unit Controller you will be responsible for several business units such as Engineering and Technology and support the closing and reporting activities as well as partly being responsible for the planning cycle (forecast, budget, strategic plan). In addition you will also help out with the end of the month closures.

Your duties:

  • Ensure adequate accounting for the various reporting units, including analysis of the balance sheet positions.
  • Help achieve financial objectives by providing analyses and recommendations for various units;
  • Contribute to annual planning processes, providing insight into sales, profit and cash flow forecasts (together with Business Control and Central Finance teams);
  • Make analysis of realisation compared to the budget, forecast and figures from the previous year.
  • Act as a point of contact for Central Finance
  • Prepare various reports to present the analysis of the financial results to interested parties.
  • Supporting the various unit management teams in preparing and updating business cases.

Requirement:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • HBO/WO education in Controlling
  • Minimum 5 years of experience (preferably in the making industry/ production)
  • Good communication skills and good collaboration
  • They will need to speak Dutch and English.
  • Experience and knowledge of management information software, such as Hyperion, Onestream, Qliksense and IBM planning analytics would be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
