In 2009, July VHR became a Corporate Member of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC). The professional body for UK recruitment businesses, REC works to improve the standards of the recruitment industry, with membership serving as the mark of a high-quality recruitment business.
The REC Compliance Test was introduced to assess the knowledge of recruitment agencies concerning key industry legislation, including the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, and the REC Code of Professional Practice.
Passing the REC Compliance Test enables current members to renew and retain their membership by evidencing their statutory compliant status and high ethical standards. A score of 100% is a rare achievement and a signifier of a high quality recruitment company.
