This year’s regatta offers six days of sailing with a variety of classes including TP52s and Volvos, and faces healthy competition: Cowes Week 2017 takes place in the same week as the Copa Del Rey in Palma.
The Triple Crown: A New Challenge for Cowes Week
The Triple Crown will see the world’s largest yachts compete for some of the most prestigious trophies in sailing. Starting and finishing from the Royal Yacht Squadron over three days, each race will be approximately 50nm long including a Solent Eastern Approaches course and a Solent Western Approaches course.
Cowes Week also gives experienced sailors a chance to compete in the Around the Island Race, with the opportunity for boats to smash last month’s record.
