The Captain’s Ride 2017: Day Six
Posted - 13 November, 2017
An emotional finish, famous guests and funds raised for a great cause – Day Six of the Captain's Ride.
The Captain’s Ride Diary: Day Six
Danny reveals of the sixth and final day’s riding, ‘We finished! The last leg of the Captain’s Ride was not an easy run-through by any stretch. We had a police green light escort for the last 40 km, which was amazing, and particularly because the last police escort undertaken by the Tasmanian police was in 1986.
‘Day 6 culminated in a very emotional finish. Within our teams and across the board we’ve made a lot of new friendships, and are proud to have raised much-needed funds raised for a great cause in the Steve Waugh Foundation.’
On behalf of Danny and all the riders, we wanted to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Steve Waugh Foundation with their generous donations. Danny has so far raised £2,655 to support children with rare diseases – help him raise even more.
