11 Years in Aviation Recruitment: Sunette Van Aarde’s Career Blog
“I am passionate about working with my clients and candidates, and I want to keep supporting them to the best of my ability.”
My name is Sunette van Aarde and I am a Principal Account Manager at VHR.
I grew up in South Africa and moved to the UK in 2001. After studying social work, my passion for working with people inspired me to look for a challenging career where I could build long-term relationships and truly make a different to the lives of others.
I decided that I was ready for a new challenge and further investigated the opportunities that VHR could provide. The business was an ambitious start-up that had far-reaching global aims, and the location and flexible hours offered meant a good work-life balance.
From our beginnings as a small office of six employees, VHR have grown into 70 employees across four global offices today. A strong set of values, combined with the honesty and dedication of the Directors and management team, have helped the business achieve its current £35million annual turnover and fast financial and physical growth.
